Our Story

Caribbica Soul was born from family, culture, and love—served one plate at a time.

Chef Will was born in Belize City, Belize, where the heart of the Caribbean beats strong. His earliest memories are rooted in the kitchen, learning traditional Caribbean cooking from his beloved grandmother, Grandma Boops, and his mother, Minette. From slow-simmered stews to bold island spices, food was always about connection, heritage, and feeding the soul.

Chef Luv was born in Brooklyn, New York, to a family that migrated from the American South. Her foundation in soul food came straight from her mother, Gussie, who was the kitchen manager at her church. There, she learned that food is love, service, and community—meant to bring people together and make them feel at home.

When their worlds came together, so did their flavors.

Caribbica Soul is the fusion of Caribbean roots and Southern-American soul—blending island spices, comforting classics, and family traditions into one unforgettable experience. Every dish reflects generations of knowledge, resilience, and passion, shared with intention and heart.

Along the journey, our food has reached far beyond our kitchen. We’ve had the honor of cooking for celebrities and industry leaders, but one moment stands out as truly unforgettable. In a beautiful “where chance meets chicken” moment, country music superstar Kacey Musgraves discovered Caribbica Soul, named us a favorite, and shared our restaurant with her 1.5 million followers on Instagram. That moment led to a backstage invitation—and eventually the opportunity to cook for her while she was on tour.
